  • Laser etching and engraving: A non-contact process that uses a computer-guided laser beam to mark components without applying mechanical force. Etchings reach depths around 0.002” (0.05 mm), while deeper engravings range from 0.003” to 0.040” (0.08 to 1.02 mm). Because the laser never contacts the substrate, it preserves ultra-tight tolerances and protects treated or coated surfaces. Ideal for high-density 2D Data Matrix codes, barcodes, and serial numbers.
  • Impression stamping and traditional engraving: A mechanical process utilizing hardened steel dies driven by hydraulic or pneumatic presses generating over 8,000 lbs (3,629 kg) of force. This method produces deep, permanent indentations exceeding 0.030” (0.76 mm) on heavy-duty equipment and hardened alloys up to 55 Rockwell. For thin-walled or pressure-sensitive parts, laser marking is recommended to preserve structural integrity.
  • Ink marking and rubber stamping: A flexible, cost-effective method utilizing in-house custom-manufactured rubber stamps and specialty industrial inks. Clear polyurethane topcoats are applied to extend legibility against abrasion and chemical exposure.
